How much does a website cost in Dubai?

Nobody publishes prices, so everybody wastes calls. Here is what a website actually costs in Dubai in 2026 — by scope, at agency rates, at freelance rates, and at ours.

Landing page
from $700
E-commerce
from $1,100
Mobile app
from $2,400

The short answer

In Dubai in 2026, a simple marketing website runs roughly AED 8,000 to AED 20,000 at an agency, AED 3,000 to AED 8,000 with a freelancer, and starts at $700 (about AED 2,570) at EXTENSA. E-commerce roughly doubles the figure. Web apps and mobile apps are a different category entirely.

The spread is not really about quality — it is about how many people are being paid to attend meetings about your website.

What drives the price

Six things move a website quote. Everything else is packaging.

  • Page count — a landing page is one argument; a site with services, work, about and contact is five
  • Who writes the words — copy is usually the hidden line item, and the most common reason a project stalls
  • Whether you can edit it yourself — a CMS layer adds build time
  • Selling online — products, cart, payments and tax handling are a real system, not a plugin
  • Languages — English plus Arabic or Spanish means double the copy and a bilingual layout
  • Custom design vs template — an original design costs more than a bought theme and does not look like everyone else

Dubai website prices by scope

Agency and freelance ranges are typical market rates observed in the UAE in 2026 and will vary by studio. EXTENSA prices are fixed and quoted in writing before work starts.

What should be included at any price

Before comparing two quotes, check they cover the same things. These are not extras, and a quote that leaves them out is not cheaper — it is incomplete.

  • Copywriting for every page
  • Mobile design, not just a desktop layout that shrinks
  • SEO foundations: titles, meta, headings, schema, sitemap, robots
  • Analytics and Google Search Console connected
  • Deployment, domain configuration and SSL
  • Named revision rounds — "revisions" without a number means arguments later
  • Ownership: your domain, your code, no hostage hosting

The recurring costs nobody mentions

A website has a small running cost, and it should be small. Expect roughly $10–20 a year for a domain, and $0 for hosting on modern infrastructure at the traffic level of a typical business site — the free tiers of platforms like Vercel genuinely cover it. A CMS may add a monthly fee, and e-commerce carries payment processing fees per transaction.

If someone quotes you a mandatory monthly retainer just to keep a brochure site online, that is a business model, not a technical requirement.

Why EXTENSA is cheaper without being worse

One operator, AI-native process. There is no account manager relaying your feedback to a designer who relays it to a developer. The volume work — layout iterations, copy drafts, boilerplate code, image handling — is done with AI under direction, and the judgement stays human.

That collapses both the cost and the calendar. A site that occupies an agency for eight weeks occupies EXTENSA for one to two, and you are talking to the person building it the whole time.

Questions

Straight answers

How much does a basic website cost in Dubai?

A basic one-page website costs AED 5,000–12,000 at a Dubai agency and AED 1,500–4,000 with a freelancer. At EXTENSA it starts at $700 (around AED 2,570), including design, copywriting, mobile-first build, SEO foundations, analytics, deployment and two revision rounds.

Is it cheaper to use Wix or Squarespace instead?

The subscription is cheaper than a build, but you pay in three other ways: a template look, a monthly fee forever, and slower load times that hurt search rankings. For a business where the website is the first impression, a custom build at $700 that you own outright is usually the better arithmetic within the first year.

Do I pay everything upfront?

No. Projects are split into a deposit to start and the balance on delivery, against a fixed written scope. The price agreed before the work begins is the price at the end.

How much does website maintenance cost in Dubai?

For a standard marketing site: close to nothing. A domain is $10–20 a year and modern hosting is free at typical business traffic. Optional monthly care — monitoring, fixes and small changes — is available from $150 a month, and it is genuinely optional.

Why do Dubai web design quotes vary so much?

Because most of the price is people, not pixels. An agency quote includes an account manager, a project manager, a designer, a developer and the overhead that supports them. The same deliverable from a single senior operator costs a fraction of that, which is the entire premise of EXTENSA.
